The Mental Health Association of Okaloosa/Walton Counties is a not-for-profit, United Way Agency, that provides strong array of mental health services through Children's Mental Health Services, Okaloosa Veterans' Court, Adult and Family Recovery Programs, Psychiatric Medication Assistance, Ombudsman Services and referral to Community Treatment Resources.

The establishment of the Joe P. Skelly Children's Therapy Scholarship
The scholarship is a tribute to honor the professional career of Joe P Skelly, LMHC, licensed clinical
psychotherapist. Funded by an anonymous donor, the $50,000.00 scholarship provides for the mental
health needs of impoverished children who require intense levels of psychiatric treatment. The Mental
Health Association is honored to be entrusted with the care and management of the scholarship for
children in need in Okaloosa and Walton counties.
The Mental Health Association of Okaloosa and Walton Counties is also honored to annonce our 2020-2021 MHA Humanitarian of the Year is Barbara Gilley, RPh Sam's Club Pharmacy, Manager, FWB and
2020-2021 MHA Treatment Professional of the Year is Larry McFarland, LMHC Bridgeway Clinical Office.
